Dear Family and Friends!
Well first off thanks, Mom, for the best birthday package! I got it this past week and I love it! Thank you so much! and I love the ties tooo! You guys are the best! I have the best family ever!
Thanks to everyone else who wrote me too. I am always so grateful to get your letters and hear about your amazing lives!
Now onto my week, which this week went by sooooooooooo fast! I still can't believe that I am already here writing you guys again! But this week there were just more and more miracles! The Lord is really blessing not only our sector but the whole zone! We had interviews with President and he told us that the best zone is this zone and it is so true. He said that he only has his best missionaries here because this stake needs our help which is true!
Some of the miracles I want to share with you guys is with Javiera, Nacho, and the family of Carolina! But let's start with Javiera! We have had her as an investigator for a really long time. We found her mom and she was less active but we reactived her and now she is really strong in the church, but it has always been a challenge with her daughter, Javiera. About two weeks ago we had a zone meeting where the zone leaders were talking about the 40 days to fast for 40 baptisms again to motivate us to keep going strong. They invited us to separate as companionships and pray for one name that we can baptize this transfer. So we willingly went into a room and Elder Alcaraz and I offered a prayer and sat there in silence for a few minutes when we both looked at each other with a smile and at the same time we said Javiera. We knew she would be the one, but the challenge was that the next day she went to go live with her dad and she wanted to live there for good! So that got our excitement a little down because we thought that she was the one. But a miracle happened Tuesday. She finally returned and that day, the president of the Relief Society, president of the young womens, the bishop and then later one of his counselors, all felt like they needed to visit them. So Tuesday they just got bombarded with visits from members! And then to finish it off we came in the night and we had no idea that all those members had already passed by.
They told us that they didn't have a lot of time and we were a little confused because when we called to confirm. They said they had the whole day free. They then explained to us that they all had an interview with the bishop is 20 minutes! Ha ha, so we went with them to the church and the bishop was just a stud in the interview and invited Javiera to be baptized! She left the bishop's office where we were waiting and she smiled at us and asked us when was the next baptism service! Ha ha ha! We were so surprised we had no idea!!!! Ha ha and then Nacho who is her little brother who has 8 years told us that he wants to be baptized too! What a blessing! After months! It will finally happen! Just another testimony to me that Heavenly Father answer prayers and that we can all receive personal revelation!
Another miracle was on Tuesday too when we went to go visit Mara who has been slacking lately with the church and with praying and reading. She has been trying to find a job like crazy and we are a little nervous about her falling away from the Church just shortly after her baptism. But we testified to her of the importance of obedience and promised her if she was faithful in the Church she would receive blessings immediately! She then offered the closing prayer and it was like in the movie "The Best Two Years" when the elders get the phone call because right in the middle of the prayer the phone rang and it was a lady calling for a job opening for her! How incredible, right?!!!!!!!
Another miracle was with Carolina who still loves all the furniture we gave to her the last week. But we got to teach her husband and her kids (who I love so much!) And we taught the Plan of Salvation because right at the beginning of he lesson the husband, Francisco, was telling us how much he loves his family and how he has a fear of death. As we started teaching the lesson, he was just soaking it all up!!! It was incredible to see his desire to learn more and more! We focused a lot of eternal families and invited him and his two sons to be baptized and they all accepted!!! Woo hoo!!!! We now have 5 baptism dates for the month of June!
And with the advice that Blake gave me last week to change my attitude to never enter the house until we find a new investigator we found 7 new investigators this past week which we were struggling badly with finding new people! But our faith is strong right now and I know the Lord is with us! I can say that without a doubt in my mind! I love my Savior soo much! He really does live. He really does love us sooo much and I know He knows us inside and out! He is blessing this zone so much because of the high faith and the conversion to obedience that all the missionaries have here! I love this mission!
Another miracle was with Jose! This past Sunday he came to church and we were able to help the Bishop by giving Jose the priesthood!!!!! Aww it is so awesome to see how fast he is progressing in the ward! I know he was a chosen elect that the Lord prepared for us. And I know he will be a leader in this ward someday!
Well that's all I have time to write about, but thanks again for each and every one of you! Keep the faith!
Love,
